Union Work Force
Take on the Work. Make Sure It Goes Union.
We are the contractor of record for unionized labour across complex, high-coordination environments.

The Role
Three Actors. One Clear Division.
Unions hold the workforce. Clients hold the work. UWF is the signatory contractor in between.
Unions maintain membership, certifications, seniority, and wage frameworks. Clients hold the project, the budget, and the scope. UWF holds the commercial contract with the client, scopes the work to the proper classifications, sources labour through the appropriate union channels, and manages execution on site. The systems stay with the unions. The execution sits with UWF.
01
Unions
Hold the workforce. Maintain membership, certifications, seniority, and wage frameworks under their collective agreements.
02
Clients
Hold the work. Bring the project, the budget, and the scope. Define what needs to be delivered, when, and where.
03
UWF
Signatory contractor in between. Holds the commercial contract, scopes the work, dispatches through union channels, supervises execution, and remits under the CBA.
What We Do
Four Things. End to End.
Scope. Dispatch. Supervise. Remit.
UWF takes on project scopes from clients and structures them under the correct collective agreement. Labour is requested through the proper union dispatch and deployed under signed CBAs. UWF supervises the crew on site, manages timelines, and handles payroll and remittances under the governing agreement. Every project moves through the same four steps.
- 01
Scope intake
Translating client requirements into a CBA-classified labour plan.
- 02
Dispatch
Requesting the right classifications and headcount through proper union channels.
- 03
On-site execution
Supervision, timelines, safety, and quality of delivery.
- 04
Compliance
Hours, wages, dues, and remittances handled under the CBA.
Where We Operate
Where the Work Is Complex and the Labour Has to Be Unionized.
We operate where coordination matters most.
UWF is currently approved at four Tier 1 convention and exhibition venues in the Greater Toronto Area. The work spans event setup and teardown, exhibit installation, AV and rigging. These are environments where multiple trades, tight timelines, and union jurisdiction must align — exactly where structured coordination earns its place.
